  1. She preaches that a person can lose their salvation and that is not Biblical. See my posts: “You CANNOT Lose your salvation!” and “People Misunderstand Hebrews 6:4-6” and “My Letter To The “Lose Your Salvation” Preacher.” I have never told anyone to keep sinning! We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9) and that is secure because of what Jesus did for us and we are sealed in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14). I encourage people to die to sin and live for righteousness as well. Remember though, our salvation is not by works. Galatians 2:11-21 and 3:1-5 are very clear about that. Paul rebuked Peter because he was acting legalistic like a self-righteous Pharisee.

Anyone who preaches that you can lose your salvation is not preaching the truth and they are acting like a Pharisee. You either believe Jesus died for your sins, or you don’t. John 3:16, John 10:27-30, John 5:24, John 6:40. His perfect love drives out fear. 1 John 4:18. I hope and pray people understand just how much Jesus forgave them at the cross! There is nothing we could do to earn our salvation. Read the truth in those Scriptures for yourself.

Sue is arguing with Jesus Himself. Telling people to live righteously is good, but preaching that you have to do good works to be saved is false and totally opposed to the Bible.

Grace and peace to you Vickie.

    1. I believe in free choice. People cannot lose their salvation because God turns away from them, but I do believe that they can turn away from God. I don’t believe in “once saved, always saved.”

      1. Then you believe a false doctrine Vickie. Jesus said no one can snatch you out of His hand (John 10:27-30). What did He die on the cross for then? He died as the perfect atoning sacrifice for all the sins of mankind. Do you argue with Jesus too? Nowhere in the Bible does it say you can lose your salvation. You and Sue are living in fear believing in a false docrtine. It’s sad and I pray you understand just how much Jesus forgave you at the cross. We are sealed by God in the Holy Spirit. Is there something you can do to earn your salvation or are you saved by grace through faith in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9)? You either believe in Jesus and trust in Him for your salvation or you don’t.

      2. I do trust totally in my salvation. But if I were to go out and kill someone tomorrow and just say, “Who cares what the Bible says?” I’m going to live just for myself, then I am turning against God. I don’t have the fear that I will do that, but I do have enough respect for God to know that He cannot and will not look on sin, so I have to ask for forgiveness and live under His umbrella of grace. I know people who have turned their backs on God. I am glad that I am not God and have to make the decision about their eternal souls, but I am fearful that unless they return to Him, they will not be saved. I do not want to presume on His grace.

      3. Read Galatians 2:17-21. I understand what you are saying, but that is not how God and His grace operate. Only those who reject Jesus are not saved. If a believer is caught up in a sin, the Holy Spirit will convict their heart and God will discipline to lead the believer back to repentance. Many believers are living as carnal Christians, but they are still saved. They are not living the abundant life God wants for them and they will be under His discipline until they obey, but they are still saved through the atoning Blood of Jesus. God saves us and sanctifies us, not us. He will go after the one sheep who wandered. Consider Peter who denied Jesus 3 times, yet Jesus led him to repentance and reinstated him. Once you belong to Jesus, you are His forever. Of course a Christian can still choose to sin, but there will be discipline and consequences for that (Hebrews 12). If we could work our way to Heaven after accepting Christ, then He died for nothing.

Grace and peace to you Vickie!
