If you live long enough, you will probably lose a loved one. This advice was on Facebook and is a gentle reminder to all of us about how to treat and respect those who are grieving, especially as the holidays are coming.

What a beautiful and much needed post. Thank you for sharing this.
If I may add a note to programmers for Christian radio stations: Go easy on the Christmas love songs. Please understand I have nothing against romance, but this is one time of year when it’s acceptable to the world to be singing about Jesus. Why would a Christian radio station want to use up air time singing about cuddling by the fire and couples in love frolicking in the snow? Let the secular stations do that. A grieving person may tune into a Christian station looking for hope and comfort, and if you’re singing cheery songs about being with the one you love, you could unwittingly be rubbing salt in an already wounded heart. Stick with songs like “O Holy Night,” and give the world the hope it so desperately needs.
