Prayer Requests

I feel the need to share two prayer requests with you all and to also ask that you share any prayer requests with me.

God gives us each other for a reason, and at least one of them is so that we can walk this way together.

So, prayer requests. I am in MD visiting my son and his family. Unfortunately, my body’s reaction to the stress of the trip and being here has been to have high blood pressure for three days in a row. I have taken all of the extra medicine I am allowed to take, but it hasn’t gone down. So, I called my cardiologist today and they want me to drink a lot of water (for my headache) and call back in about an hour and a half, after I take my BP again. I would appreciate prayers.

My second prayer request is for a friend who has been in the hospital since Monday. He has pneumonia and fluid around his lungs. They have done two procedures to take the fluid off and he has one more today. He is breathing better, he says, but not doing great. Please pray for Dave for healing and that the doctors will have wisdom.

  3. Lord I lift up to You my friend Vickie. Thank you that her headache is better; I pray your loving Hand upon her heart and soul, give her peace and rest and a sound body and mind. I lift up also Dave, and pray Your Healing Hand upon him.

    Please pray for three friends of mine: Valerie had a stroke, and seems to be continuing to stroke. Beulah had a knee replacement Wednesday; please pray for pain relief without narcotics or opioids, no blood clots or infections, and that her bones will knit to the replacement well. Rebekah had tests yesterday for multiple severe health issues. She is to receive the results today.

    1. I am adding Valerie, Beulah and Rebekah to my prayer list. Lord God, I just pray that your mighty hand of healing and comfort will touch Valerie and that she will feel you right beside her as she walks through this valley. I pray for Beulah, Lord. I thank you for all of the surgical advances that allow such a remarkable thing as a knee replacement. I ask that you give her the peace she needs as she goes through rehab and that you place your hand on her to speed the healing and to make sure that no blood clots or infections endanger her. I pray for Rebekah, Lord, who had medical tests and needs your guidance and comfort and strength. Let her know without a doubt that you are right beside her and will help her go through the stormy waters and they will not overwhelm her. Be her Father and her source of wisdom. In Jesus’s Name. Amen.

    1. Hi, David. I spent the night in the ER because my BP kept climbing and I got a bad headache. They gave me meds to get my BP to drop and then meds for a migraine that the BP had caused. I am back at my son’s house now and feeling better. My BP is still elevated but not like it was. Thank you for asking. And Dave has to be in the hospital another week. They are draining the fluid from around his lungs and can only drain so much at a time.
