Do you think that you have a secret place in your heart that you can keep hidden from God? Do you sometimes try to sneak away and do something that you know the Father would not approve of and assume He is so busy with the world’s problems that He won’t notice little you? Wrong on both counts! God always sees, is always watching you, listening for your voice. He loves each of us so much that, just like Adam and Eve, we cannot hide. When life gets tough, we may want to hide away from God, thinking He must have forgotten us or just given up on us. He never does and he never will. He set the standard in the Garden of Eden right after Adam and Eve sinned and hid. It was God who called, “Where are you?” Are you hearing that question today? You may as well answer because God is relentless in His quest to meet you right where you are.
