I really enjoyed this devotional this morning because it has great insight into the role of the sheep and the leadership of the shepherd. I never thought about the fact that a sheep can drown because its wooly coat is so thick. Or that Jesus led the way first, not letting the sheep wander ahead of Him. Is there an image here that spoke to you?

Long ago I read A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by W. Phillip Keller (he was a shepherd). It made an impact on my heart and the way Jesus cares for us.

I read that too and can still see the imagery evoked by the author.

God’s peace Vickie. I often envision Jesus as the Good Shepherd. Psalm 23 remains an encouraging set of verses, no matter how often it is read. For me, it quiets the noise around me.
