I am a Christian, a retired teacher, a mother and a grandmother. I love to read and I love the Lord Jesus Christ! Unless otherwise specified ,all visual illustrations are from the YOU VERSION APP of the Bible.
I remember a math class that I took many years ago. As a logical person who wants everything in its place, I didn’t really understand much of that geometry class, but I did understand the conditional statements. You remember them, too, I’m sure. They are the “if…then” statements. For example, you may say, “If it’s sunny today, then we will go to the beach.” The ‘if” clause has to be true for the then clause to kick in. Well, this Scripture is like a conditional statement. IF you are faithful, then God sets you apart and hears when you call on Him. I think that is is awesome that the God of the Universe takes time to listen to me! Are you faithful? Then He hears you. Blessings, my friends for a day filled with the awesome power of God touching your life and drawing you closer to Him. Choose to be faithful!
Do you remember as a child when you crossed the street and your mother grabbed your hand, holding it tightly in hers and making sure that you were safe beside her? Do you remember when your little ones were growing up and you did the same thing with them? Then, as you grew older, you were allowed to “let go” and just walk beside your mom or dad. You were trusted to be able to watch for the oncoming cars and be aware of any approaching danger. Well, my friends, I want to tell you that there is One that you should never let go of because the dangers that are out there are much more fierce than any huge car or truck could be. These dangers could mean the destination of your eternal soul. God wants to lead you safely to the Heaven that He has prepared for you.
I am holding on to the hope that I have in Jesus. I know that God is totally faithful. I can count on Him, no matter what is happening in my life. I was supposed to have surgery on Tuesday. Instead, I am taking several new medications, using my nebulizer several times a day, and trying to get healthy enough so that my surgery can be rescheduled. Did I mention that I am holding on? Yes, I am—tightly! Life doesn’t always work out the way we expect. In fact, if you are like me, it seldom works out the way that you expect or plan. Nevertheless, He who is faithful and true is holding on to you through whatever you are going through. Notice that I used the word “through.” You go through the unexpected disruptions to your plan and come out on the other side walking in God’s plan, by His side and with Him holding your hand tightly. For me, that means that I am not suffering through long nights, bitterly bemoaning the fact that this dreaded surgery should be over by now. I just marvel at His great love, knowing that my hope is in Him is for a reason. He is faithful! Blessings for a day filled with His love and hope in Him!
