I have silently been mourning what has been happening in our nation this last week. I am so sad for the Floyd family and their unimaginable loss. But I know, in my heart, that what is happening in the U.S.A. is not the best of us. It is absolutely the worst and should not be! How did Jesus react when there was unrest? Well, when the Jewish leaders came to arrest Him, Peter tried to defend Him by cutting off the ear of one of the men. Jesus immediately rebuked Peter and healed the man, replacing and restoring his ear. Jesus heals, not destroys! What we are seeing these days is not healing anything! It is not bringing peace to the Floyd family. Justice is coming, folks, but the wheels of justice move slowly, and the violence has got to stop now!
I was in tears this morning when I read the story of the fire set to a home in Richmond, Virginia, the capital of my state. There was a child inside! An innocent child! And the rioters blocked the firemen’s pathway to rescue the family inside. Yes, their blocking was brief, but what were they thinking? Why set fire to a family’s home? What is the purpose? Anger?

I read an article by Dr. Denison today that I want to share with you. And I ask that you read it PRAYERFULLY!

The song may include ads that you will want to skip.
My prayer today: Yes, Lord! Let the peace on earth begin with me! Let me speak peace, think peace, pray peace and show peace to others. Let your love shine through me. In Jesus’s Name. Amen.
If this is your prayer, too, then I ask that you share this post with others and let’s make the cry for peace go viral! The cry for riots and destruction is already there. We can do better than this. Jesus did! Blessings my friends for safety wherever you are and for peace in your hearts that the world cannot understand because the world did not give it. Jesus did!
Another blogger said something yesterday that cut to the very core of the matter….
The riots and rioters are not the problem. It is a symptom, the consequence of Godlessness., the rejection of God.
Mind blown. Truth!

You are correct. Satan is using division to destroy, and we need to be better than that. We need to show God and His love to others.

Amen to that!

You’re right. Racism is a symptom of SIN, and sin is a matter of the HEART. No amount of protesting, riots, amendments, pleading, or manipulation will change hearts. Only JESUS can do that.

You’re so right, Vickie. I’ve heard that a lot of the violence and lawlessness isn’t just the so-called mourners, but also Antifa that is capitalizing on this poor man’s tragic death. They don’t care about him or his family, but are full of wickedness and rage, and are demonically controlled. If this continues, the authorities and the military will need to use deadly force to stop it. The active duty Army is poised to deploy and having been active duty Army, I can assure you they will not be carrying weapons with blanks, like the National Guard. I’m praying it won’t come to that.
I, like you, believe we as Christian citizens need to be praying and advocating for peace and protection from the madness that is continually happening all around us. And that God will supernaturally intervene as He sees fit. Unfortunately, I don’t think things in general will get better from here, but even in the digression God hears our prayers. God bless you and yours, Sister.

I taught my SS class to sing, “Red and Yellow, Black, Brown White” etc. That way I didn’t leave out anyone, especially since one of my students informed me that he was brown and not black and why didn’t Jesus love Him?
